Joining in the cause... hoping for a cure...

About a year and a half ago, my sister-in-law, Marie was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Age 42.  4 children.   We were all in shock.  Denial.  Sadness...

But, we bonded together.  Surrounded her with love, support and an attitude that this wasn't going to bring her or any of us down.

By September, she had gone through her lumpectomy and most of her chemo.  Friends and family rallied around her and her family at a benefit.   The support was overwhelming!  Overwhelming is actually an understatement...

That day of the benefit, a double rainbow was over the pavilion with signs of new hope and a promise for a better 2013.  God does not go back on his word and a year after diagnosis, Marie is clean of breast cancer.  Her attitude through the whole thing was amazing and admirable.  Positive and hopeful and half the battle she endured.

After all she had been through and how close this awful disease hit home, I now want to pay it forward as much as I can.  Right now, the Exeter Panthers are holding a fundraising event for another person with breast cancer.  I am donating 20% of all sales ordered for this fundraiser through me or my website to this woman as she faces this battle.

If you would like to help her and her fight, go to nikkisense.scentsy.us and place your order under the Exeter Panthers/Amy K. Fundraiser.  Fight against breast cancer.  Believe.  Hope.  For a cure.

Share your story with me...  Millions of us have been affected by this disease.  How has breast cancer affected you or your family?
